Understanding Cold-Pressed Juice
A practical guide to what cold-pressed juice is, what customers value and how it differs from whole fruit.
What “cold-pressed” means
Cold pressing uses mechanical pressure to extract liquid from fruits and vegetables. The aim is a smooth beverage that retains the natural taste and colour of the ingredients without relying on added sugar, preservatives or artificial colouring in the current Purely Fruits range.
What customers value
- Recognisable fruits and vegetables
- Fresh taste and natural colour
- Convenient 250ml chilled bottles
- No added sugar in the current range
- No preservatives in the current range

| Feature | Cold-pressed juice | Whole fruit |
|---|---|---|
| Convenience | Ready to drink and easy to carry. | Requires eating or preparation time. |
| Fibre | Contains less insoluble fibre after pressing. | Generally retains the full fibre structure. |
| Natural sugar | Natural fruit sugars remain in the juice. | Sugar is consumed with more fibre. |
| Use | Refreshment and convenient fruit/vegetable intake. | An important part of balanced eating. |
Important: Purely Fruits does not present juice as a replacement for whole fruit, meals, medicine or professional healthcare. “No added sugar” does not mean sugar-free.
